Curious to know more about me?
Hi, I’m Leony—let’s keep it friendly! 😊 If I had to sum myself up: "I’m a try-hard in the best way—I love pushing my limits." I thrive on challenges and believe growth begins where comfort ends. I’ve joined all sorts of competitions—public speaking, math, traditional dance, writing, drawing, and more. Winning wasn’t always the outcome, but every experience taught me something valuable. In 2024, I even hosted a Kempo match—totally new and out of my comfort zone, but thrilling in the best way.
I find joy in books and comics—every genre but horror, as I’m easily spooked. I love exploring “what if” ideas and often get lost in daydreams. Music is my constant rhythm, and coffee, just a bit sweet, is my quiet companion. I cherish peaceful moments alone with a book or sketchpad—my kind of healing. I enjoy crafting stories and illustrating them, combining words and visuals to express myself. Journaling helps me capture life’s little moments, and I’ve even created my own original character. I also like to edit some videos, I built my own Tiktok account, my videos are about my favorite singer, mostly Treasure. I speak Indonesian, English, Minang, and Javanese, with some knowledge of Korean, Japanese, and Thai—I first got into languages just to understand how to curse 😄. Literature and poetry hold a special place in my heart. Beautiful words make me deeply happy, and I’m endlessly inspired by how writers like Franz Kafka can move us with their prose.
If you enjoy fiction and literary novels, I highly recommend this book by Leila S. Chudori. Set in the New Order era, it explores the impact on those accused of "Ideologi Kiri", and their families. Her writing is both beautiful and powerful—a moving portrayal of silenced voices.
When I’m feeling stressed or overwhelmed, I turn to my favorite comfort drinks—iced coffee or matcha. My go-to choices are iced americano (no sugar with brownies, less sugar without), spanish latte, hazelnut latte, creamy aren latte and of course, a creamy matcha latte. They never fail to bring me a little peace in the chaos.
In the past two years, I joined activities I’d never done before like fundraising, Kempo event organizing, sign language classes, and humanitarian efforts for Palestine. These experiences helped me grow socially and build meaningful connections.
To all my dear friends—thank you, truly. I wouldn’t be who I am today without your presence, patience, and quiet support. Through every high and low, you stayed—listening, comforting, and reminding me I was never alone. Your friendship has helped me grow in ways I can’t fully express. It’s a rare and beautiful gift, and I’m endlessly grateful for it. I hope life brings you nothing but kindness, joy, and all the love you deserve.
“Leony is kind, smart, amazing at debating, and definitely the act-of-service type. But let’s be honest—she can be so aloof sometimes. Ask her something and you’ll get the most basic reply, no follow-up, no curiosity—dry texter alert! 😩 It can be a little frustrating, not gonna lie. But here’s the thing—Leony knows so much. Ask her anything and she’s basically Google in human form. And underneath all that calm and quiet? She’s actually INSANELY kind. Like, genuinely one of the sweetest souls you’ll ever meet.”

“To be honest, I just love being your friend. I love how I can talk endlessly around you—it just feels so natural and easy. You always respond with calmness and thoughtfulness, even to the little things I care about. You come across as strong to the world, but sometimes I catch glimpses of the side of you that just needs someone to talk to—and I truly love being that person for you. Even if I’m only a small part of your life, it means the world to me. You’re fun, you see me differently, and that makes me feel genuinely special. You’re such a good friend, and I admire you more than I ever say out loud. I’m proud of everything you’ve done, even if I don’t always express it—maybe because you already carry your own pride so well. But still, I want you to know: I am. So, so, so proud of you. Always. See you when we’re 50—still rocking our Louboutins, cruising in our Mustang. 💅🚗S”
College Friend
“Leony has been my friend since middle school, and somehow, we’re still friends to this day. She’s literally short, but her brain actually works (well… kind of). This tiny menace is seriously annoying—makes me want to kick her sometimes, but it’s okay, she’s already been accidentally bumped to tears once. Grateful for that moment. She looks like a decent person, and to be fair, she’s pretty diligent—my go-to source for copying homework. Whenever there’s an assignment, I stick to her like glue. She’s somewhat friendly, but honestly, more on the fake-friendly side if you engage her too much—so yeah, she’s a whole character.”
